Day 1 Are you ready?
Why do you want to have a baby? This is really important as in the tired times, the times when you have to dig deep, you have to deeply know this. I think this is particularly important for fathers because it does seem like a huge change in lifestyle for them and they often don't have the inner urnings for a baby like mothers do. So dig deep to answer this question. Sit with it for an hour. Try to fill a page.
Are you ready to have a baby? Be honest here. Being in denial or answering how you think your partner wants you to answer can lead no where good. Getting your feelings out and in the open is very healing. Mothers be open to your partners feelings of not being ready. This is quite common, I would say more often then not. Don't worry if he isn't and you are pregnant. I believe most fathers don't feel ready and is the inspiration for this course. That and my husband is the inspiration. One who was very not ready for fatherhood and babyhood but look at him blossom now. Further in this course we come to understand why this is. There is lots we can do to prepare. So mothers be open and accepting of your partners answers which will encourage him to be open.
Rate these statements and discuss with your partner.
